Insurance via your workplace
If your employer has a collective agreement, through your employment you will automatically be covered by the collectively agreed insurance, either by us at Afa Försäkring or by another insurance company.
Our insurance plans may provide compensation
if you fall ill
if you are injured at work
if your employment is terminated
if you pass away
if you are on parental leave.
How do I know whether I have insurance?
Nine out of ten people employed in Sweden have at least one insurance policy via their job, with us at Afa Försäkring. There is every chance that you are one of them. The insurance cover at your particular workplace will depend on the applicable insurance agreement. Ask your employer or union for more details.
Wage-earner or salaried employee?
In many private companies you can be employed as a wage-earner or salaried employee, depending on your role. Different insurance schemes apply to wage-earners and salaried employees, respectively. Ask your employer or union if you do not know whether you are employed as a wage-earner or as a salaried employee.
